Lexta Ghana Limited, the manufacturer of Yazz sanitary pads, announced on 30 October 2026 that product samples submitted to the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) for independent microbiological assessment have met the acceptable limits under Ghana Standard GS 1248:2019.
The company said the assessment covered samples linked to consumer complaints as well as selected batches chosen for quality evaluation. Analytical reports released on 14 October 2026 showed that the tested samples recorded microbiological results within the limits specified for single‑use disposable sanitary towels.
While the findings provide reassurance regarding the microbiological quality of the samples examined, Lexta Ghana acknowledged that consumer satisfaction extends beyond laboratory results. The statement noted the need to address consumer experiences related to comfort and design, and that climatic conditions across Africa could influence individual experiences with sanitary products.
“We continue to review and improve our products, particularly in the areas of breathability, design, fit and overall comfort,” the company said. It urged consumers to share their experiences, concerns and suggestions directly, stating that such feedback would help it understand their concerns better and take appropriate steps towards continuous improvement.
