In a week‑long initiative, Member of Parliament Kennedy Osei Nyarko of Akim Swedru provided financial assistance and vocational training to 145 constituents. The beneficiaries included 50 petty traders, 60 prospective apprentices and 35 newly graduated apprentices, all selected to strengthen their businesses, acquire practical skills or establish themselves in their chosen trades.

The 50 traders received cash support to improve their income‑generating activities and expand operations. Sixty young people were given the opportunity to undertake apprenticeship training, enabling them to gain hands‑on skills for employment or self‑employment. The remaining 35 beneficiaries, who had completed their apprenticeships, were supplied with tools and equipment to begin practising their trades and build independent livelihoods.
Osei Nyarko said the intervention was designed to address the financial and practical challenges faced by small‑scale business owners and artisans transitioning to independent work. The MP noted that the support would help create jobs and stimulate local economic activity in Akim Swedru.
