A fire broke out on Sunday, October 25, in a wooden building in Goaso, Ahafo Region, that housed a restaurant, a make‑up shop and a boutique. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) dispatched personnel from the Goaso Municipal Fire Station at about 11:35 am, arriving to find the three businesses fully engulfed.

Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines, bringing the blaze under control by 12:18 pm and extinguishing it completely at 1:09 pm. Despite the rapid response, the restaurant, make‑up shop and boutique, along with all their contents, were completely destroyed.
GNFS officials reported that the prompt action prevented damage to adjoining properties. Ahafo Regional Fire Commander Assistant Chief Fire Officer Grade II Samuel Ferdie Tetteh, accompanied by Operations Commander Assistant Divisional Officer Grade I Samuel Afram, visited the scene to assess the damage.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the outbreak.
