Final funeral rites for Dr Isaac Akuetteh Bampoe Addo, former Executive Secretary of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), and his twin brother, Sidney Nii Oko Bampoe Addo, a Deputy Director at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, were held at the State House forecourt in Accra on Sunday, November 7, 2026.

Dr Isaac Bampoe Addo, who died on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the age of 59, was a prominent figure in Ghana’s public sector labour movement, championing the welfare and working conditions of civil and local government workers. His twin brother, Sidney, who passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, also aged 59, had served as a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. The two brothers were siblings of Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration) Nana Oye Bampoe Addo.

Family‑announced arrangements saw the burial service begin at 9:00 a.m. and run until 11:00 a.m., followed by private interment. Final funeral rites continued from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the same venue. A thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, at Winners Chapel in the North Industrial Area, with a reception at Accra Academy in Bubuashie at noon.

Colleagues and organised labour members paid tribute to Dr Bampoe Addo’s contributions to workers’ representation and the development of CLOGSAG. The twin brothers’ passing within three weeks of each other has compounded the grief of their family and the public sector community.
