TIME Studios and the Project Management Institute (PMI) have announced the release of season two of The Solutionaries, a documentary series that follows project leaders as they validate, finance and operationalise climate solutions at scale. All three episodes are now available on TIME.com.
The series tracks innovators in music, maritime decarbonisation and artificial intelligence, showing how organisations connect vision with the right people, resources, strategies and disciplined execution. Season two features Adam Gardner and Lauren Sullivan of REVERB, Alisha Fredriksson of Seabound, and Kate Kallot of Amini.
REVERB, a sustainability nonprofit founded in 2004, has worked on 400 tours, eliminated over 4.6 million single‑use plastic bottles, addressed more than 464,000 metric tonnes of CO2e and raised over $26 million for environmental causes. Seabound, an award‑winning startup, installs modular carbon capture systems on shipping exhaust stacks, capturing up to 95 % of CO2 and sulphur emissions, and has completed two world‑first pilots with leading shipping companies.
Amini, founded in 2022, builds sovereign AI infrastructure for countries in the Global South, digitising more than 10 million records and training 15,000 data scientists. In Barbados, its national AI platform is used daily by the Prime Minister’s office and serves citizens in more than 90 languages.
Menaka Gopinath, Chief Marketing Officer at PMI, said, “We need bold ideas to solve the world’s biggest challenges, but ideas alone don’t drive change. Progress happens when people turn vision into action.” She added, “Projects are how great ideas become real, and the professionals who lead them make that possible.”
The series, produced with Good is the New Cool and directed by Edward Buckles Jr., highlights the often‑unseen work behind transformative ideas and the role of project management in delivering measurable progress.
PMI, the world’s leading authority for project professionals, invites organisations to join its mission of elevating the world, one project at a time. More information is available at pmi.org.
