A hunter in Foase, Atwima Kwanwoma District, Ashanti Region, reported finding a 28‑year‑old man named Foster inside a coffin on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The coffin had been left exposed in an open area of the community cemetery, prompting the hunter to draw his gun after his dogs approached the coffin.
According to a resident, the hunter’s threat forced the man to emerge from the coffin. A nearby herbalist, who was on his way to gather herbs, helped bring Foster into the community, where a crowd gathered and called for police intervention.
Residents suspect Foster may have been involved in a money ritual, with some claiming he spent three days inside the coffin as part of the supposed practice. The man has since been handed over to police for investigation.
