Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has publicly demanded a refund from Nigerian airline Air Peace after her team paid for six tickets on the carrier’s website in January but never received a booking confirmation.
The artist, known for her hit “Bedroom Commando,” revealed on X that the lack of confirmation forced her crew to book alternative flights ahead of a scheduled performance in Nigeria. She added that subsequent attempts to obtain a refund have been largely ignored by the airline.
Wendy Shay questioned Air Peace’s customer service presence in Ghana, noting the absence of a dedicated centre and the repeated instruction to email the Nigerian office—an email that reportedly went unanswered. She warned the airline to “refund us ASAP or we’ll escalat[e] this matter to the authorities.”
Air Peace’s response has not been reported, and the singer’s threat to involve relevant authorities highlights the growing frustration among Ghanaian artists dealing with cross‑border travel logistics.
