Koforidua Faces 17‑Hour Water Cut‑Off for Scheduled Maintenance

Residents of Koforidua and nearby communities will experience a temporary loss of potable water on Wednesday, November 4, as Ghana Water Limited (GWL) performs scheduled maintenance at the Bukunor Water Treatment Plant.

GWL said the interruption will run from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., during which maintenance activities will be carried out at the facility.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, November 3, management in the Eastern Region explained the exercise is part of routine works aimed at ensuring the plant’s continued operation.

The company urged residents and affected customers to store sufficient water before the scheduled disruption to minimise the impact on households and daily activities.

GWL assured customers that water supply would resume after the maintenance works are completed and apologised for any inconvenience caused, appealing for cooperation.
