Afrobeats superstar Davido told IONWANNATALK that a joint tour with fellow icon Wizkid would fill venues worldwide, adding he would ask for $500,000 per show.
Speaking about the possibility of recording together, Davido admitted he was unsure if a new song would resonate, citing the D’banj‑2Baba partnership as a cautionary example.
"If Wizkid and I do a song together, I don’t know if it will pop because when D’banj and 2Baba did a record together, it didn’t really pop," he said.
He was far more confident about touring, noting the duo hadn’t worked together in about ten years and that past disagreements had kept them apart.
Davido explained that differing mental spaces and opinions about their rivalry had stalled collaborations, but he now feels the time has passed.
"I felt that way at some point but not anymore, and it takes a great man to do that," he added, signalling a potential shift in their relationship.
The singer’s comments hint at a lucrative partnership, with venues expected to sell out and a clear financial benchmark set for each performance.
