Joy FM Unveils Four Festive Events for 2026 Christmas Season

Joy 99.7 FM has announced a quartet of holiday celebrations that will run from 13 December 2026 to 1 January 2027, with venues spanning Accra’s Labadi Beach Hotel and the Aburi Botanical Gardens.

The opening act, the annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, will kick off on Sunday 13 December at 3 pm in Labadi Beach Hotel’s Omanye Hall. The programme blends the biblical story of Jesus’ birth with scripture readings, Christmas carols, gospel music and other entertainment, a staple that draws listeners, families and personalities from all walks of life.

On Thursday 24 December, Joy FM will host Colours of Christmas at Labadi Beach, encouraging attendees to don bright outfits for a festive twist on the traditional Christmas Eve celebration.

Saturday 26 December brings the Family Party in the Park to the Aburi Botanical Gardens. The Boxing Day event has become a popular outing, featuring music, food, games and outdoor activities such as sack races, cooking contests and treasure hunts, with live performances by Ghanaian artistes.

The festivities close with a 90s Jam on Friday 1 January 2027 at Pleasant Gardens. Running from 8 pm to 4 am, the all‑night show will take listeners on a nostalgic journey through Ghanaian highlife, early hiplife, hip‑hop, R&B, reggae, dancehall and other hits of the decade.
