Okyehene Welcomes Cuban‑Trained Doctors in Gratitude Visit

A delegation of forty Ghanaian medical graduates who studied in Cuba under scholarships facilitated by Dr. Kingsley Agyemang paid a courtesy call to His Royal Majesty Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, the Okyehene, on Friday, 30 October 2026. The visit, led by the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, expressed deep gratitude for the Okyehene’s support and encouragement throughout their education journey. The scholarships, awarded through an opportunity arranged by Dr. Agyemang, enabled the students to pursue medical studies abroad, and the Okyehene also provided financial assistance to the beneficiaries. During the ceremony, the newly trained doctors presented a citation of honour to the Okyehene, recognising his generosity and the pivotal role he played in their professional development. In his remarks, the Okyehene congratulated the doctors on completing their training and urged them to work diligently, uphold professionalism, and serve Ghana with dedication, integrity and compassion. Dr. Agyemang was accompanied by executives of the Abuakwa South Constituency. The visit underscored the importance of investing in human capital and creating opportunities for young Ghanaians to acquire skills that benefit society. The doctors affirmed their commitment to deploy the knowledge, skills and expertise they have gained to strengthen Ghana’s healthcare delivery system. The event marked a moment of appreciation, reflection and renewed commitment to national service, highlighting how leadership and philanthropy can transform lives and communities.
