In a unanimous declaration, National Democratic Congress executives from the four constituencies that form the Krobo bloc in the Eastern Region pledged their full backing for incumbent Regional Chairman Dr Mark Oliver Kevor as he seeks re‑election at the party’s upcoming regional executive elections on 14 November at Kwahu Mpraeso.

Representatives from Asuogyaman, Yilo Krobo, Lower Manya Krobo and Upper Manya Krobo stated they would remain committed to Kevor’s candidacy and would not be swayed by appeals or inducements from other contestants. They also vowed to campaign among delegates in other constituencies to secure an overwhelming victory for the incumbent chairman.

Kevor and his campaign team visited the four constituencies as part of a fresh round of engagements with party executives ahead of the elections. During the visit to Yilo Krobo, Municipal Chief Executive Francis Akumatey Addo— a former constituency secretary— described the Regional Chairman as a strategic pillar in the constituency’s political activities. He said Kevor had played an important role in strengthening the NDC’s position in Yilo Krobo and maintaining its status as a party stronghold.

The endorsement comes as the NDC prepares for its regional executive elections, with party leaders across the Eastern Region rallying behind Kevor’s leadership. The party’s internal polls are expected to conclude on 14 November, after which the elected chairman will set the strategic direction for the NDC in the region.
