In a press interview in Hamburg, Germany, the newly appointed Deputy Secretary in charge of Diaspora Affairs for the National Nasara Wing, Mohammed Awal F., conveyed the wing’s thanks to the National Nasara Organiser for the confidence placed in them.
Mr Awal said the appointees accepted their roles with humility, viewing the appointments as a call to service. “We are deeply grateful for the honour and confidence placed in us. We accept these appointments with humility and regard them as a call to service,” he told reporters.
He pledged loyalty to the National Nasara Organiser and the wider wing, promising to advance the organiser’s agenda and support the New Patriotic Party’s efforts to secure victory in the 2028 general election. “By the grace of God, come January 2028, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will be addressed as President of the Republic of Ghana and no longer as flagbearer,” Mr Awal added.
Calling for unity and collective support, the deputy secretary urged members to work together toward the objectives of the National Nasara Wing. The statements were made as the party prepares for the upcoming electoral cycle, with Bawumia positioned as the NPP’s presidential candidate.
Observers note that the Nasara Wing, focused on diaspora engagement, is a key component of the party’s strategy to mobilise overseas support. The wing’s new leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in coordinating international campaigns and fundraising efforts leading up to the 2028 elections.
As the NPP gears up for the 2028 campaign, the Nasara Wing’s commitment underscores the party’s emphasis on cohesive, disciplined outreach both at home and abroad.
