Red‑carpet arrivals at the VC Complex in Legon for the Ghana Credit Excellence Awards

The Chartered Institute of Credit Management Ghana (CICMG) is set to convene the 7th Ghana Credit Excellence Awards on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the VC Complex in Legon, Accra. Red‑carpet arrivals will begin at 5:00 p.m., bringing together executives from universal and community banks, microfinance institutions, debt‑collection agencies and other players in Ghana’s financial ecosystem.

The awards, organised annually by CICMG, recognise outstanding performance, innovation and leadership across the banking, microfinance and credit‑management landscape. This year’s event comes amid a macroeconomic backdrop marked by inflationary pressures, exchange‑rate volatility and evolving regulatory requirements, yet the sector has shown resilience with improvements in profitability, asset quality and balance‑sheet performance.

“The Ghana Credit Excellence Awards is not just about celebration. It is a platform that reinforces the values of sound credit management, ethical leadership and financial inclusion that are critical to Ghana’s economic development,” said Agyapong Amo, Executive Secretary of CICMG.

Categories will span institutional performance, brand strength and individual leadership. A Lifetime Achievement Award will honour a figure whose sustained contribution has left a lasting legacy in the credit and financial sector. The ceremony, themed “Beyond Stabilisation: Building a Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Financial Sector,” will feature remarks from distinguished personalities in Ghana’s financial and regulatory establishment.

Attendees can expect an evening of recognition, industry dialogue and networking, with senior executives, board chairpersons, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders gathering to celebrate excellence across the diverse financial landscape of Ghana.
