On 29 October 2026, the Opoku Trading Arena in Adum hosted the mini‑clinic of the 2026 Luv FM‑Republic Bank Habitat Fair. The event brought together developers, prospective homeowners, and industry professionals to explore housing services, construction materials, financing options and interior decoration solutions.

Organised in partnership with Republic Bank, the clinic aimed to address challenges in land acquisition, building and homeownership, especially in the Ashanti Region. The Lands Commission and the Asantehene’s Lands Secretariat were among the participating institutions, offering guidance on land‑related matters and other aspects of owning a home.

Visitors were able to view construction materials and home improvement products on display. JetSky Roofing Systems highlighted its fire‑resistant roofing systems and window products, while Prestodea Ghana showcased glass windows, balustrades and doors.

A representative of the Asantehene’s Lands Secretariat said the initiative was vital for helping the public navigate their homeownership aspirations.

"This initiative is crucial for guiding people towards their homeownership goals," he said.

Dan Adjetey Mohenu, Head of Mortgage Banking at Republic Bank, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting individuals at every stage of the homeownership journey.

"Our mortgage and housing finance solutions are not limited to purchasing completed properties; we also cater to those who prefer to construct their homes in phases," he explained. He added that financing could cover everything from foundation works to interior decoration, subject to the bank’s assessment criteria.

The mini‑clinic serves as a lead‑up to the main 2026 Habitat Fair, scheduled for 25‑29 November in Kumasi. Organisers hope the fair will continue to connect prospective homeowners with institutions and services across the housing sector, responding to growing demand driven by population growth and urbanisation.

Future editions of the Habitat Fair are expected to build on this success, offering more comprehensive support for those seeking affordable and accessible homeownership in Ghana.
