The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) confirmed on Saturday, October 31, 2026, that its Clou Smart Prepayment Metering System has been restored following a period of service disruption. The company’s notice stated that customers can now buy electricity credits through the ECG PowerApp or at the nearest private prepayment vending station.
ECG thanked customers for their patience, support and cooperation during the outage. With the system back online, users of the Clou Smart Prepayment Metering System should be able to resume purchasing electricity credits through the available vending channels.
