The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four-day planned maintenance exercise that will temporarily disrupt electricity supply to several communities within the Accra East Region.
According to ECG, the exercise will run from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, 2026, with outages scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
The power interruptions, ECG said, form part of planned maintenance works aimed at improving electricity service delivery and reliability in the affected areas.
Monday, August 10
The first phase of the exercise will affect customers in Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, Ability and surrounding areas.
The outage is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 11
On Tuesday, maintenance works will affect Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction and surrounding areas.
Power interruptions are expected between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 12
The third day of the exercise will affect parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters and surrounding areas.
The scheduled outage period is again 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 13
On the final day, the maintenance exercise will affect Achimota School and surrounding areas.
The outage is scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
ECG has advised customers in the affected communities to expect temporary interruptions in electricity supply during the scheduled maintenance periods.
The company said the exercise is necessary as part of its efforts to improve service delivery in the affected areas.
