According to local accounts, Abdulai had been placed in a school that required the purchase of specific items for admission. He expressed growing anxiety over his inability to raise the money needed for these items. On several occasions, he allegedly threatened to take his own life if the funds could not be secured.
He left his home on the morning of September 20 and was not seen again. His body was discovered in the community the following afternoon, Monday, September 21. Police have not yet confirmed the incident, stating that they had not received an official report on the case.
