Airport Concourse Project Linking Terminals 2 and 3 Reaches 20% Completion

Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu revealed on Saturday, November 7 that construction of the concourse linking Terminals 2 and 3 at Kotoka International Airport has reached the 20 per cent milestone. In a Facebook post, Mr Kwakye Ofosu highlighted the progress and recalled that President John Dramani Mahama cut the sod for the project a few months ago.

"Recall the Concourse linking Terminals 2 and 3 at the Accra International Airport that President Mahama cut sod for a few months ago? It is already at 20% completion," he posted, underscoring the strides made in the airport’s infrastructure upgrade.

The new concourse is part of ongoing efforts to improve passenger movement and overall airport facilities, aiming to streamline transfers between the two main terminals. While the project is still in its early stages, the 20 per cent completion rate signals steady progress toward a more efficient terminal layout.

Observers say the development will eventually ease congestion and enhance the travel experience for both domestic and international passengers. The government has not yet set a definitive completion date, but the project remains a priority in the national infrastructure agenda.
