European Union Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Rune Skinnebach, visited the Ghana Police Service headquarters today to meet Inspector‑General Christian Tetteh Yohuno. The meeting was part of a wider initiative to deepen cooperation between the EU and Ghana’s law‑enforcement agency.
Ambassador Skinnebach and IGP Yohuno reviewed several key areas of collaboration, including police training, community policing, forensic investigations, cyber‑security, and crime‑scene management. Both officials underscored the importance of enhancing operational and investigative capabilities to tackle emerging security threats.
IGP Yohuno thanked the EU for its ongoing support and urged further partnership in strategic domains such as counter‑terrorism, specialised training and community outreach. He said continued cooperation would strengthen the Ghana Police Service’s ability to respond effectively to evolving challenges.
Reaffirming the EU’s commitment, Ambassador Skinnebach pledged to work closely with the Police Service to promote security, justice and the rule of law across Ghana.
