The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled maintenance exercises across several communities in the Tema, Accra West, and Accra East operational regions on Monday, August 3.
According to the power distributor, the planned outages are part of ongoing infrastructure updates aimed at improving overall grid performance and service delivery.
Regional Schedules and Affected Areas
The maintenance work will affect residential, commercial, and healthcare facilities across three major regions:
1. Tema Region (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Affected Areas: Communities 19, 20, 22 (TDC Estates), and 24
Localities: Jordan City, Santor Timber Market, Aunty Araba, Agbeshie Laryea, Nelplast, Kubekro, Level 400, and surrounding communities.
2. Accra West Region (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Affected Areas: Kwashieman, Lapaz Community Hospital, Nii Boye Town, Gbawe Bulemin, Gonse, Joma, and Agbozome.
Localities: Doblo, Bangalow, Hebron, Medie, Samsam, Satellite, and surrounding areas.
3. Accra East Region (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Affected Areas: Parts of East Legon, parts of Okponglo, Frafraha, Ashiyie, and surrounding neighborhoods.
ECG Issues Apology to Customers
ECG has apologized to affected residents and businesses for the inconvenience caused by the temporary outage.
The utility provider urged customers in the designated zones to make necessary alternative arrangements for the duration of the maintenance window and requested patience as technical crews complete the required works to restore full supply.
