Famate Ltd Highlights Agrifair’s Sales and Publicity Boost

Famate Limited said on Friday, November 6 that participation in Channel One TV’s Agrifair has delivered more than just sales, providing significant publicity for its products. General Manager for Distribution Richard Nyarko told Breakfast Daily that the exhibition has helped raise awareness of the company’s offerings, with customers often contacting Famate after the event to make enquiries and purchases.

Nyarko noted that the positive experiences from previous editions encouraged the company to take part in successive fairs. “For us, it’s not just about the sales. It’s also about the publicity that it gives us. Even after the Fair customers still call us to purchase,” he said.

He added that the exposure generated at Agrifair often translates into increased interest in Famate’s products, especially its specially grown tomatoes. Beyond showcasing its produce, Nyarko highlighted the company’s contract farming arrangement, which involves about 3,000 farmers across ten regions of Ghana who grow tomatoes for Famate.

Famate provides the farmers with agronomic support and agrees on guaranteed prices before production begins, giving them an assured market for their produce. The arrangement also lets farmers estimate potential returns before investing in production, protecting them from post‑harvest buyer uncertainty.

The 2026 Agrifair is expected to host more than 200 exhibitors showcasing agricultural produce and related products across the value chain, including fresh produce, fruit juices, dried fruits and canned foods. The exhibition will run daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., offering businesses a chance to showcase products, connect with potential customers and make sales.

AgriFair 2026 is powered by Channel One TV and Citi 97.3 FM, and is proudly sponsored by the Horticulture Business Platform and Agri-Impact Limited.
