During Telecel Ghana’s Care Month, the Telecel Foundation brought a robotics workshop to the Volta School for the Deaf in Hohoe, Volta Region, where 100 students participated in hands‑on STEM training.

The session, organised with support from the Mingo Foundation, introduced the students to practical engineering concepts through engaging activities that fostered creativity, teamwork and problem‑solving.

Telecel Ghana’s Foundation, Sustainability and External Communications Manager Rita Agyeiwaa Rockson said the initiative was a way to give “care that truly counts” and to prove that ability should never define potential.

Headmaster Mr. Joe Innocent Kodjo Tsameny thanked the Foundation for the training, noting that the hands‑on experience helped the students apply theoretical concepts in a digital world.

Telecel employee volunteers guided the learners throughout the day, and 13‑year‑old Makafui, the first to finish her project, credited the training for inspiring her to pursue a career in STEM.

Telecel’s effort is part of a broader strategy to expand access to quality learning opportunities for young people across Ghana.
