Ghana’s flagship fashion and music event, Rhythms on Da Runway (RODR), will resume on Saturday, 28 November 2026, at the Palms Convention Centre for its 16th edition.
Organisers have announced that the theme for this year’s show will be ‘UNBOUND’, a call for fashion and music that knows no limits. The concept, said organisers, is that if fashion is for everyone, everyone should see themselves reflected on the runway.
For years the industry has been shaped by narrow ideas of who belongs on the catwalk, privileging certain body types, ages and abilities while leaving many others out. UNBOUND seeks to broaden that picture, welcoming models of diverse abilities, backgrounds, body shapes and personal stories. The theme will influence model casting, collections, the narratives woven through garments and the overall guest experience.
Beyond the runway, the event will provide opportunities for young people to learn from established designers, gain practical experience and explore careers in fashion and the wider creative sector. Discussions will also touch on adaptive fashion, accessible event design, talent discovery, mentorship and employment.
Organisers say the theme offers sponsors, development organisations and donors a platform to support disability inclusion, youth training, creative enterprise and accessible experiences, helping new talent enter the industry and creating practical pathways into Africa’s growing Orange Economy.
The night will feature a strong line‑up of fashion designers and music stars from Ghana and the African diaspora, live performances and an all‑star cast of celebrity models. It will also host the Black Star Awards, celebrating public figures who shape Africa’s future through bold leadership and transformative development.
