ORC Strikes Off 453 Companies, Dissolves 323 in Ghana

The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) announced on November 4, 2026 that it will strike off 453 companies from Ghana’s Companies Register, while 323 others have already been dissolved under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992). The two actions together affect 776 companies.

Companies slated for strike‑off were listed in Volume 48 of the ORC Companies Bulletin on October 15, 2026. They will be removed from the register three months after the notice unless valid reasons are presented. The 323 companies that have already been struck off had their notices published in Volume 40 of the bulletin; with no contrary evidence, they were removed and their dissolution recorded in Volume 49 on October 15, 2026.

The exercise is part of the Registrar’s broader effort to maintain the accuracy, integrity and reliability of Ghana’s Companies Register. Affected companies, creditors, shareholders and other interested parties are urged to regularise their status or contact the Office for guidance.

The action underscores the importance of statutory compliance and accurate corporate records as the regulator seeks to strengthen corporate governance and transparency in Ghana’s business environment.
