Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Awentami Paul Afoko, told delegates across the Western, Central and Eastern Regions that the party can return to government in 2028 if it reunites and rebuilds its structures.
Speaking at a campaign rally, Afoko said the NPP would need only two years in opposition before winning the 2028 election, provided the party closes its ranks and rallies behind his leadership.
He outlined a 3Rs Campaign Blueprint of Reunite, Rebuild and Recapture Power, insisting that unity is the missing ingredient for victory.
Afoko pledged to strengthen grassroots structures, improve constituency and polling station organisation, and restore confidence among supporters who have felt neglected in recent years.
The National Chairman election is scheduled for October 3, and Afoko will continue engaging delegates ahead of the contest at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
