Having lost the first leg 1‑0 away, the Accra side dominated possession for long stretches in an attempt to overturn the deficit, yet they were unable to convert the chances they created.
FC Diarra opened the scoring early, putting the Ghanaian side in a tough spot before Nations fought back to level the match. However, Diarra held firm and secured a 2‑1 aggregate victory, ending Nations FC’s maiden CAF Confederation Cup campaign at the preliminary‑round stage.
The result leaves the MTN FA Cup champions to refocus on domestic competitions as they regroup for the next season.
