The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has assured candidates who successfully completed the medical examination phase of the ongoing 2025/2026 recruitment exercise that they remain under active consideration and will be invited for document validation in subsequent batches.
In a press statement issued on August 1, 2026, the Service addressed growing anxiety among applicants, clarifying that the national recruitment process is structured in phases.
The first batch of medically qualified candidates has already been invited and is currently undergoing document verification across designated validation centers nationwide.
Verification and Batch Progression
The document validation stage is designed to verify the authenticity of applicants' academic certificates, examination results, and other credentials submitted during the initial application phase.
Allaying concerns of candidates who have not yet received invitations, law enforcement officials emphasized that no qualified applicant has been disqualified or overlooked.
"All other applicants who successfully completed the medical examination and have been declared medically fit but have not been invited for validation are in the recruitment pool for consideration in subsequent batches," the statement read.
The Service disclosed that the exercise will not be concluded immediately, as the recruitment schedule extends across a multi-year timeline.
"The recruitment process will continue in batches until 2028 in line with the recruitment schedule."

Warning Against Recruitment Fraud
The Police Service also issued a strong warning regarding scammers attempting to exploit anxious applicants, cautioning candidates not to pay money to anyone claiming they can facilitate recruitment or fast-track validation.
The Director-General of Public Affairs, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Grace Ansah-Akrofi, who signed the statement, urged all candidates to disregard rumors on social media and rely solely on official police communication channels for updates regarding the recruitment process.
