Ophelia Martekuo Atoklo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Commodity Exchange, has been invited to serve as a guest speaker at the 2026 Ohio Growth Conclave in Columbus, Ohio.
The two‑day summit, scheduled for October 29–30 at the Hilton at Easton Columbus, will bring together policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to explore opportunities in agriculture, trade and investment between Africa and global markets.
Organised by the Ohio Growth Conclave in partnership with Agricwealth Ghana, the event is expected to attract about 200 participants, including government and diplomatic officials, private‑sector leaders, financial institutions, investors, agricultural entrepreneurs, manufacturers, miners and small and medium‑sized enterprise owners.
Academic institutions, chambers of commerce and development agencies are also expected to participate. The summit will be held under the theme, “Agriculture, Value Addition, Trade and Export – Unlocking Africa’s Investment Future.”
Ms. Atoklo’s participation will contribute to discussions on agricultural development, value addition, trade and export, while strengthening economic and cultural ties between Africa and international markets. The invitation, signed by summit host Edward Twumasi, noted that her participation would further promote cross‑border trade and agricultural cooperation.
Previously, the Ohio Growth Conclave has organised agricultural investment‑focused events, including the Africa Agriculture Investment Summit in London, Toronto and Columbus, as well as the Ghana Youth Agriculture Summit.
What to watch: The conclave will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions and networking sessions aimed at boosting investment flows into African agriculture and value‑added sectors.
