The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has engaged technology company Huawei as part of efforts to strengthen partnerships aimed at transforming Ghana’s energy sector.

The engagement formed part of the Minister’s working visit to Huawei, where he met with the company’s management team to explore possible areas of collaboration to advance Ghana’s energy transformation agenda.

During the visit, Dr Jinapor toured Huawei’s state-of-the-art facilities to gain insights into the company’s technological innovations and capabilities in the energy and power sectors.

Discussions centered on opportunities for partnership in areas that could support the modernization of Ghana’s energy infrastructure, improve efficiency and promote sustainable energy development.

Dr Jinapor highlighted the importance of working with leading global technology and power sector companies to drive innovation and strengthen the country’s energy systems.

He noted that strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Huawei would be critical to achieving the government’s vision of building a more resilient, efficient and sustainable energy sector.

The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovation as key drivers in Ghana’s transition towards a modern energy future.
