Beatrice Keul Accuses Donald Trump of Rape in 1993 Plaza Hotel Incident

Beatrice Keul, a former Miss Switzerland and model, has alleged that former U.S. President Donald Trump raped her during a press event at New York’s Plaza Hotel in November 1993, according to a report released by U.S. House Democrats this week.

The 6‑foot‑1‑inch former beauty said she was 24 when she met Trump at the event, where he promised to secure a visa for her and help her gain admission to New York University. After the conversation, Keul claims she was approached by Jeffrey Epstein, who invited her to a party at Mar‑a‑Lago. “We organise many parties with Don,” Epstein reportedly told her.

Keul says that after Epstein left, a Trump representative invited her to meet the former president in the Plaza Hotel’s upper floors. “Upon entering, Trump reportedly grabbed Keul from behind and forcibly raped her; in the process, tearing her dress and causing bleeding and bruising on multiple parts of her body,” the report states. The document describes the assault as “brutal.”

Keul’s original 2024 claim, published in October, described groping and unwanted advances by Trump at the same hotel. She said, “He kissed me on the lips and on the neck. He tried to lift my dress. He was grabbing and touching my body everywhere he could,” but added that she was able to stop the encounter by saying “let’s talk first.”

White House officials have dismissed the allegations, calling them a “desperate attempt by crazed Democrats to distract Americans from the surging Republican momentum.” A spokesperson said Trump was “fully exonerated of anything related to Epstein.”

The Democratic report also summarizes accounts from four other women who have accused Trump of rape or sexual assault, and it accuses Trump, Epstein and others of using the Plaza Hotel pageant as a “hunting ground” for vulnerable young women. Committee ranking member Jamie Raskin said the Justice Department was covering up the crimes to protect the president.

With the report released just a week before the U.S. midterm elections, the allegations arrive amid scrutiny of Trump’s handling of Epstein files, inflation, and rising energy prices linked to his war with Iran. The impact on Republican candidates remains unclear as the former president is not on the ballot.

Keul’s case highlights ongoing investigations into Trump’s alleged sexual misconduct and the broader debate over accountability for former leaders. The story will continue to evolve as the Democratic investigation proceeds and more witnesses come forward.
