Ghanaian musician Black Sherif paid a visit to the German Ambassador to Ghana, Frederik Landshöft, and his family at the ambassador’s residence in Accra. The trip, described by the German Embassy as a “special afternoon,” followed the ambassador’s long‑standing admiration for the artist’s work, beginning with the hit “Kwaku the Traveller” heard in Berlin in 2022.
The embassy noted that the song became the ambassador’s “song of the year” and that Black Sherif’s music has since been a staple in the family’s life, accompanying them from Germany to Ghana after their move last year. Tracks such as “Lomo Lomo” and “IRON BOY” were highlighted as key soundtracks during their transition.

During the visit, Black Sherif and his team discussed rap, highlife, and Afrobeats, sharing stories behind the music and the musician’s latest EP, Sun Sherif. The conversation also touched on the musical ties between Ghana and Germany, citing Berlin‑based producer Ghanaian Stallion’s role in Black Sherif’s earlier releases.
The ambassador’s family had previously watched the artist perform live at Zaama Disco in 2025, adding to the significance of the meeting. The embassy praised Black Sherif as humble, thoughtful, and reflective, while also commending his team’s professionalism.

After the musical dialogue, the pair engaged in a friendly table‑tennis match, with Black Sherif emerging victorious in a close contest, leaving the ambassador “processing the result,” according to embassy officials.
Concluding the visit, the embassy congratulated Black Sherif on the release of Sun Sherif and thanked him for the memorable afternoon.
