Apprise Music and Media was named the leading music company to receive grant support at the Orange Inspire Creative Ultimate Pitch 2026, held on 11 September at Palms by Eagles in Accra.

The event, backed by Fidelity Bank Ghana, ALX and UNESCO Ghana, gathered entrepreneurs from across the country’s creative and cultural sectors to present their business models to a panel of judges.

During its presentation, Apprise Music highlighted the need for stronger African‑owned systems for music distribution, publishing administration, rights management and catalogue development. The company works with independent artists, producers, labels and other rights holders to improve the administration, protection and commercial value of their music.

Founder and CEO Michael Bamfo said the recognition would help the company strengthen the operational systems behind its work with creators and music catalogues. “This support gives us additional capacity to improve how we manage releases, metadata, rights and catalogue assets,” he said. “It will also help us serve more creators, develop stronger music and audiovisual assets, and build practical systems that allow African rights holders to benefit from the long‑term value of their work.”

Apprise plans to channel the grant into three key areas: artist and catalogue growth, increasing the number of paying creators using its services, and expanding monetisable catalogue assets. The investment will fund equipment for catalogue administration and short‑form video editing, as well as catalogue audits, metadata improvement, artist onboarding, creator education and release marketing. The company also aims to strengthen its customer‑management systems and enhance its capacity to produce audiovisual content for selected artists and releases.

The Orange Inspire programme offers training, mentorship, business‑development support and access to funding, reflecting the growing commercial importance of Ghana’s music, film, fashion, visual arts, crafts, media and digital‑content sectors.

Apprise’s achievement marks another milestone in its mission to build locally grounded music‑business systems that support creators from release administration to royalty collection and catalogue growth.
