Absa Bank Ghana has unveiled a new Instant Loans service that lets eligible salaried customers borrow up to GH¢350,000 through the bank’s digital channels. The fully online process allows borrowers to view pre‑approved offers via the Absa Mobile App, Internet Banking or an Absa ATM and receive funds instantly once they accept an offer.
Director of Personal and Private Banking, Charles Addo, said the move is part of the bank’s strategy to make banking services more responsive to customers’ needs. “We are seeing increasing demand for banking solutions that fit seamlessly into customers’ daily lives,” Addo said. “Instant Loans allows eligible salaried customers to access credit quickly through channels they already use, while ensuring lending decisions continue to be guided by robust risk and affordability assessments.”
The solution uses automated credit assessment to tailor offers to each customer. Once an offer is accepted, funds are disbursed immediately, providing timely access to personal credit while maintaining the bank’s risk‑management standards.
Absa Instant Loans is one of several digital banking initiatives the bank is rolling out to improve convenience, accessibility and flexibility for customers managing their financial needs.
