The 6th Inter Tourism Expo, scheduled for 21–23 October 2026 at the Ridge Royal Hotel in Cape Coast, has secured the support of the 24‑Hour Economy Secretariat. Mr. Augustine Tanoh, President Adviser on the 24‑Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development programme, met with the Expo’s Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Treku, and Chief Executive Officer Ms. Beauty Kabukie Apedoe to discuss how the event can advance Ghana’s transformational agenda.
During the courtesy call, Mr. Tanoh highlighted the Secretariat’s willingness to provide assistance on behalf of the presidency and requested details on how the secretariat could best contribute to the Expo’s organisation. Mr. Treku explained that the Expo’s purpose is to showcase Ghana’s tourism potential and attract investment that will benefit the country and its people, echoing the 24‑Hour Economy’s goal of creating a vibrant, 24‑hour investment environment.
The discussion covered a range of sectors, including agribusiness, digital sovereignty, AfCFTA industrial acceleration, and private‑sector participation. Both parties agreed that stronger coordination between the Expo organisers and government institutions would help translate conference outcomes into tangible economic benefits.
Mr. Treku identified key institutions such as the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority, the Ghana International Trade Commission, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ghana Tourism Authority, and the Regional House of Chiefs as partners that could help ensure the Expo’s success. He stressed that linking tourism with the broader productive economy would demonstrate how the sector can contribute to investment, employment, value‑chain development and regional activity.
Follow‑up meetings are planned to further refine the Expo’s programme structure, investment‑focused activities and B2B engagement opportunities. The event will bring together over 300 tourism stakeholders, investors, government institutions, business leaders and development partners to explore capital investments in technology, infrastructure and emerging sectors.
As the Expo’s theme – “Positioning Ghana as a 24‑Hour Investment Economy” – aligns with the 24‑Hour Economy agenda, the Secretariat’s involvement is expected to help the event deliver practical outcomes beyond conference discussions and drive sustainable development across Ghana.
