Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior has addressed the growing speculation surrounding his future for the first time, insisting that his priority remains enjoying his football and helping the club succeed despite ongoing transfer rumours linking him with Arsenal.
Speaking during Real Madrid’s pre-season, the Brazilian revealed that new manager José Mourinho has encouraged him to play with freedom and happiness.
“The coach wants me to be happy. When you’re happy, you play your best football.”
Vinícius added that he is fully focused on preparing for the new season, improving his fitness, and helping Real Madrid compete for every trophy.
His comments come as negotiations over a new contract continue. While Arsenal have shown strong interest in signing the Brazilian winger, talks between Vinícius and Real Madrid have reportedly progressed positively in recent days, increasing confidence that he will extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabéu.
