
Kwesi Pratt: don't reduce journalism to a contest for attention, serve public needs
At the GJA's 77th anniversary symposium in Accra, veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt Jnr traced the profession's roots to Ghana's independence struggle, warned that "press freedom without responsibility can become reckless," and criticised TV stations that hire presenters based on Facebook follower counts, while GJA President Albert Kwabena Dwumfour called for stronger mutual commitment between journalists and the association.
