The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that a fire outbreak involving several commercial containers was brought under control at Ebenezer Junction on Teshie Lekma Road, close to Lekma Hospital. The blaze damaged a container operated by a vulcaniser and threatened other units used for various commercial activities.
Three fire appliances from the Trade Fair, Kasapreko and National Headquarters Fire Stations were dispatched to the scene. According to a post on the GNFS’s official Facebook page, the fire was contained while salvage operations were underway to prevent reignition.
The incident occurred in a busy commercial area along the road. The GNFS has not yet released the cause of the fire or the full extent of property damage. Salvage crews remain on site to ensure the area is safe and to stop any possible re‑ignition.
