Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas announced that a detailed investigation into the operations of Nguvu/Konongo Mines, owned by Angela List, will soon be published. The exposé, titled The Stakes and Mystery of Angela List’s Nguvu/Konongo Mines, is being prepared by The New Crusading Guide in partnership with Tiger Eye.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Anas said the investigation is grounded in documents, court records and other material gathered by the investigative teams. He added that the report will probe the dispute surrounding the mining interests and its possible implications for Ghana’s gold sector.

“The New Crusading Guide and Tiger Eye peered behind the gold veil. What we found sits in documents, in court records, and in places no one wanted us to look,” Anas wrote. He further explained that the findings will examine how the dispute is affecting the country’s gold industry and the financial consequences for the state.

He also indicated that the investigation will explore the networks and relationships associated with the mining operations, asking who is behind List’s operations and how the fight is reshaping Ghana’s gold sector. “How is the fight reshaping Ghana’s gold sector and what is the state losing while it rages on? What networks and relationships underpin List’s operations? Who and who are behind. We unmask and break it down,” he stated.

The journalist did not disclose specific findings or name individuals who might feature in the report. He said that names and figures will be released when the full file is published. “Some stories are reported. This one had to be dug out. No names yet. No numbers yet. Just this: when the full file opens, a lot of people will be reading it twice and some will wish it had never been written,” he added.

Observers are watching closely, as the investigation could shed light on the legal and financial dimensions of Ghana’s mining industry and the role of private actors in resource extraction.
