On Saturday, September 26, a Hyundai H100 bus carrying 12 passengers collided with a Ford tractor that had two occupants on board along the Kpetoe–Sarakope stretch of the Accra‑Aflao Highway in the Volta Region. The crash occurred while both vehicles were traveling from Kpetoe toward Aflao.
Firefighters from the Kpetoe Fire Station arrived quickly and rescued all 14 occupants. The rescued passengers were handed over to the National Ambulance Service and Ghana Police Service, who transported them to Ho Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Despite the prompt response, a male and a female victim were later confirmed dead at the hospital. No further casualties were reported.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision. The highway remains open, but motorists are urged to exercise caution in the area.
