In a decisive victory at the New Patriotic Party’s national elections, Mavis Hawa Koomson was elected Women’s Organiser, defeating rival Hajia Safia Mohammed, who conceded and congratulated her.
Addressing the press after her election, Koomson thanked supporters and the party’s election committee for their pivotal roles in the electoral process.
“I want to thank every person who supported me till today. Their efforts have resulted in this victory,” she said, adding her appreciation to key party members for their contributions.
When asked what type of leader she intends to be, Koomson highlighted her experience and maturity as the foundation of her approach.
“A woman with experience and maturity,” she affirmed, signalling a focus on steady, seasoned leadership for the NPP’s women’s wing.
