King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, urged stronger collaboration between Zongo community leaders and traditional authorities at the Zongo Chiefs Conference in Accra. The event, themed “The Zongo Development Agenda,” highlighted the need for peaceful coexistence and development.
The monarch emphasized that Zongo communities should be allowed to preserve their identity and leadership structures while operating within the customary framework of the traditional areas they occupy. He warned that traditional authority should not become a source of division.
King Tsuru II advocated for clear channels of communication to resolve disputes and misunderstandings between community and traditional leaders. He stressed that dialogue and education are essential to address disagreements and build a constructive relationship that promotes unity and a stronger foundation for Zongo development.
