Joseph Esibu has been elected Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region, defeating incumbent Percy Dennis in the party's regional executive elections.
Esibu secured 278 votes, while Dennis polled 161.
Kojo Halm was elected First Vice Chairman with 271 votes against K. K. Bondzi's 167. For Second Vice Chairman, Meshack Kweku Amoafo won with 220 votes, beating Samuel Ghartey, who got 120, and Betty Adwoa Nyantakyiwaa, who polled 97.
Incumbent Regional Secretary Takyi Mensah retained his position with 283 votes, defeating Armstrong Esaah, who polled 157. Incumbent Assistant Secretary Charles Odoom also held on with 257 votes, ahead of Eunice Darkor's 178.
Incumbent Regional Organiser Anthony Sackey secured a decisive win with 333 votes against Anthoney Appiah's 72, while incumbent Regional Treasurer Francis Asare retained his seat with 244 votes, defeating Mustapha Mohammed's 196.
For Regional Youth Organiser, Odeneho Kwakye Appiah won with 189 votes, ahead of Lawrence Edutuah Essiaw on 131 and David Essandoh on 118. Agyeman Asiedu was elected Regional Communication Director with 233 votes, unseating incumbent Isaac Mensah, who polled 118, and Noah Osei Assenso, who got 85.
Incumbent Regional Women's Organiser Charlotte Adwo Antwi retained her position comfortably with 302 votes against Carolyn Aboagye's 136. In the Nasara Coordinator race, King Dgagada won with 207 votes, followed by Semila Kabore with 161, while incumbent Abubakar Osman polled 70.
The results hand the newly elected executives responsibility for leading the NPP's organizational activities in the Central Region and strengthening the party's structures at the regional and grassroots levels.
