The Mends family, together with members of the Ahiekpor, Gaza and Tay Agbozo, Kwawukume, Tamakloe, and allied families, announced the sudden passing of their beloved son, George Christian Papa Mends, on August 9, 2026, in Accra.
Funeral arrangements will take place at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Awudome Roundabout, Kaneshie, with the burial mass scheduled for 8:30 AM, following a 7:00 AM service. A thanksgiving mass will be held at 9:30 AM, after which a reception will be hosted at the family residence, House No. DA152, Klottey Avenue, Awudome Estates.
Family members and sympathisers are invited to attend the burial and reception. The Mends family will observe a Saturday in red and black, and a Sunday in black and white, as a tribute to their son.
