In a tightly contested Round 5 held at the ISSER Auditorium, University of Ghana, Corpus Christi School and Wesley Girls’ High School secured the top two positions in the first quarter‑final of the National Investment Quiz, advancing to the semi‑final stage.
Corpus Christi topped the contest with 45 points, three points ahead of Wesley Girls, who finished second with 42 points. Wesley Grammar School and Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion SHS recorded 37 and 29 points respectively, missing out on the two available semi‑final slots.
The quiz, organised by the Young Investors Network in partnership with the Ghana Stock Exchange, Central Securities Depository and Joy Business, tested students’ knowledge of investment and financial concepts, demanding speed, accuracy and teamwork.
Quiz Master Godson Nukunya moderated the event, guiding the participating schools through the various rounds of questions.
With Corpus Christi and Wesley Girls now through to the semi‑finals, the competition moves to the next quarter‑final contests as other schools vie for the remaining places in the next stage.
The National Investment Quiz, proudly sponsored by MTN, NIMED Capital Ltd, Merban Capital, ABSA Bank, GBAT, MSL Business School and Twisco, and broadcast partner JoyNews, aims to promote investment education and financial literacy among senior high school students.
