AfroQuality Opens Flagship Store in Accra, Uniting Pan‑African Brands

AfroQuality, a multi‑country retail and distribution platform for authentic African brands, opened its flagship store in Accra on Friday, September 25, 2026. The shop, located in the A&C Mall, is the latest addition to a growing network that already includes Kigali, Dakar, Nairobi, and Lusaka, which will open on October 1.

The Accra outlet houses a curated portfolio of independent producers, from apparel and footwear to accessories and literature. Ghanaian labels on display include BLKSTAR UTD, Wear Ghana, Love Ankara, Gold Coast Tokota, Cheery Concepts, Horseman, Fish & Plankton Books, and Kwadwoan Story Books. Continental brands such as Enda Sports Shoes, Ikojn, Sandstorm (Kenya), Piesco Memory (Togo), Sonia Mugabo (Rwanda), Aramweer Organics, and KELAM (South Sudan) are also represented.

Founder Saint Doe Tamakloe said the opening is both an economic milestone and a cultural celebration. “Under our founding ethos, ‘Buy African, Build Africa,’ we are building the physical retail infrastructure necessary for African manufacturers to thrive across borders,” he noted. He added that the network allows brands to test markets and grow revenues without building new routes to market country by country.

During the launch, pop‑up sales by Wear Ghana, Republic of Africa, and Horseman highlighted the platform’s impact. CEO Tonyi Senayah of Horseman explained that AfroQuality solves the problem of reaching markets outside a brand’s home country, noting that Horseman is now available in Kigali, Nairobi, and Dakar. CEO Awura Abena Agyeman of Wear Ghana and Republic of Africa echoed this sentiment, saying the partnership brings her brands closer to a pan‑African dream of Africans clothing Africans.

The flagship store is set to become a hub for African commerce and cultural identity, offering consumers an elevated lifestyle space while accelerating intra‑African trade.
