Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya revealed that his relationship with Kenyan YouTuber Miss Trudy was strengthened by a Shatta Wale song. Speaking on Joy Prime’s Prime Time, Maya explained that when they first met he was transparent about his modest means and asked her to trust his ambitions.

"I told her I don’t have anything right now, but believe me, we’re going to make it," he said. His partner’s faith inspired him to write two songs – one for his mother and another for Miss Trudy – as a tribute to their support.

After winning her heart, Maya serenaded Miss Trudy with Shatta Wale’s hit “Freedom.” He admitted that the track became a daily staple in their relationship, saying, “I started listening to Freedom like every day. I loved it.”

Maya, known for showcasing Africa to a global audience, credited Miss Trudy’s belief in him as a key factor in his success and the story of their love.
