Founder and Apostle General of Royalhouse Chapel International, Sam Korankye Ankrah, cautioned women on Sunday, October 4 2026, to avoid committing to abusive and narcissistic partners. Speaking on the television programme Upside Down, he explained that some men may first appear well‑educated, well‑mannered and respectable, making it difficult for women to spot their abusive tendencies before entering a relationship.
Korankye Ankrah said such men can gradually erode their partners’ confidence, subjecting them to verbal, emotional and physical abuse after marriage. He described them as “people who are abusive, the narcissistic man, sociopath and psychopath, they look genuine, they speak well, dress well and are well educated.”
He warned that a major obstacle in dealing with narcissistic individuals is their unwillingness to admit a problem, which hampers counselling, prayer and other interventions. These men often see themselves as right and blame others for any issues, making it hard for partners or families to help them change.
Korankye Ankrah urged women to take early signs of anger and abusive behaviour seriously rather than hoping they will disappear over time. “I want to let the women know that such men are growing in the numbers and so watch out for the red flags. Any slight anger issues, pull the brakes, hold on, wait for a long time,” he cautioned. He added that behavioural patterns that emerge early in a relationship may become harder to manage later.
He concluded by urging women to prioritise their safety and wellbeing by distancing themselves from abusive partners instead of staying in hope that the individual will eventually change.
