Regina Daniels, the Nigerian actress, marked her 25th birthday this Saturday while seated in a wheelchair, citing severe pain and mobility issues that have plagued her for months.
In an Instagram post, Daniels explained that her condition worsened following a public gathering for a Children’s Day carnival, leaving her unable to walk on some days despite repeated medical tests.
She described the pain as “excruciating” and said she has been “one test after another” and has begun to refer to herself as a lab rat. “I lost my freedom to move around as I please,” she wrote, adding that sometimes she can walk well, and other times she can’t move at all.
The actress had gone quiet on social media for a period before a video surfaced online allegedly showing her in a dispute with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, amid allegations of domestic violence.
Daniels’ disclosure comes as she continues to navigate her health challenges while maintaining her public profile. Fans and supporters have expressed concern and offered encouragement as she shares her journey.
