In immediate-effect changes announced by Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo moves to Minister of State for Special Initiatives, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum takes over as Labour, Employment and Job Creation Minister, and outgoing Deputy Defence Minister Ernest Brogya Genfi becomes Presidential Advisor on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.

Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo — Reassigned as Minister of State for Special Initiatives

President John Dramani Mahama has made changes to his government, reassigning three officials to new portfolios with immediate effect.

A statement signed by the President's Spokesperson and Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, announced that Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo has been reassigned as Minister of State for Special Initiatives.

In his place, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum replaces him as Minister of Labour, Employment and Job Creation.

The President has also reassigned Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, as a Presidential Advisor on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.

The statement confirmed that the reassignments take immediate effect.
